***Five Stars***

Alicia and the Light Bulb People in Star Factory 13, by Barbara Roman, while a children’s book, is simply one of those stories that awakens the imagination and dreams within all of us. Alicia, a young girl, finds herself in a magical place, amidst used and forgotten light bulbs, all of them aspiring to be transformed into stars in the sky. It’s a story about believing in oneself  – something we should engender in every child’s mind, and for that matter, every adult too. Well-written, with splendid images to sparkle it up, this is a fun and inspiring read.
