Exorcising Your Excuses:
Heal Your Mind. Honor Your Body. Manifest Your Dream. By Griff Neilson
I have studied, quite likely, well-over twenty self-help books in the past year or so, earnestly looking for the best, the most workable, and most importantly, the one that resonated deepest within me. Exorcising Your Excuses, by Griff Neilson, is right up there at the top. In this book, the author speaks to us in terms that we can relate to in our everyday lives. He touches deep into the realm of our most “accepted” excuses, the very barriers we compromise ourselves with. He shows how, in the process of living, we start to normalize our shortcomings and failures with subconsciously empowered “reasons”, the building blocks for a devious play-back that “helps” us reconcile our failure to reach our personal mountain top. This is a very relevant book. Very easy to take in. And extremely poigant – the author doesn’t pull any punches, letting his words smash through the veil of duplicity we live in, that is, the subconscious web of excuses and lies we use to marginalize ourselves and conform to mediocrity instead of chasing our dreams to the stars. Read this book folks. It’s simply one of the better ones.
